Dust off your platform trainers, cargo pants and chokers and bring back the 90s this Friday as part of the run-up to Manchester Pride’s Big Weekend.

This year is the 25th anniversary of fundraising events celebrating the city’s LGBT life so Manchester Pride is inviting the city’s residents to don their 90s attire and enjoy some classic tunes from the decade for Bring The 90s To Work Day.

The charity is calling on businesses and their staff to join in a city-wide party complete with fancy dress, 90s Spotify playlists and a Boom-Box squad. They’ll also be running competitions on their social media, including free tickets for the Big Weekend.

All funds raised will go to LGBT organisations across the city.

Pride’s four-day Big Weekend takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend and will include the Parade led by Sir Ian McKellen as well as performances from acts including Texas, Dannii Minogue, Atomic Kitten, Lucy Spraggan, Union J and DJ Fresh.

Now, where’s that Union Jack dress gone?

Bring the 90s to Work Day, August 14. Manchester Pride Big Weekend, Friday August 28 – Monday August 31, Gay Village. Day tickets £15, weekend tickets £25.
