Black Rivers, the group made up of two-thirds of Doves, have been confirmed as the headliners for City Live.

The band, formed by twin brothers Jez and Andy Williams following the hiatus of Doves, will headline the Manchester City event at Manchester Central following performances at T in the Park, Kendal Calling and Castlefield Bowl with fellow Mancunians Noel Gallagher and Johnny Marr as part of recent Summer in the City series.

The Williams brothers founded Black Rivers last year and released their eponymous debut album in February.

This is the third year Manchester City have hosted their season launch party which will also include an awards party and the presentation of new signings. It’ll be hosted by Sky Sports’ Natalie Sawyer and Mike Wedderburn.

City Live, August 5, Manchester Central. Tickets £10.
