Pulled pork, anyone? A rack of ribs? Smoked chicken more your thing?

Throw in a substantial side order of hip-hop, blues, rock and country and you've got what looks likely to be a meaty party all weekend in Albert Square next May, as one of the biggest Americana events in the UK arrives back in Manchester.

Grillstock is a celebration of all things craft beer and BBQ, including a competitive meat-off over seven rounds to see who is the eventual king of the grill. Last year, visitors consumed nine tonnes of meat and over 100,000 pints of craft ale in a weekend which saw Grillstock favourites Hayseed Dixie and Vintage Trouble topping the bill. Who wins the Grand Champion prize this time around depends on a team of judges (with very sticky fingers).

Tickets are already on sale at the Grillstock website. Starting at £25, there's a limited number of ‘early bird’ discount tickets available too.

Grillstock, Albert Square, Sat May 30 - Sun May 31 2015.
