This Saturday, 12 September, sees an afternoon festival at The Hideaway café in Urmston celebrating the work of several lesbian authors. There will be readings of work from the authors themselves, the chance to ask questions and invaluable information for women hoping to get their own work published.

Run by the Sponge Sisters, The Hideaway hosts a number of events, (as well as serving great food and coffee), including several aimed at LGBT communities outside the city centre. The first Tuesday of each month sees the venue's LGBT book club for women and Calling All Kikis continues to draw a welcoming crowd each Saturday evening.

For their first festival of lesbian aurthers' the sisters have certainly manages to get a fantastic line up.
