They wanna be adored - The Stone Roses are back

Legendary Manchester group The Stone Roses, John Squire, Mani, Ian Brown and Reni, have announced today that they'll be getting together to play two shows next year.

The Etihad Stadium will play host to the two concerts which will take place on June 17 and 18 2016.

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 9.30am, so expect the internet to break for a while... No details have yet been released about ticket prices.

Rumours started when posters appeared in and around the Northern Quarter showing the lemon logo which forms part of the band's iconography.

Obviously, fans have been ecstatic at the news, with speculation about a possible third album, rife.
