Another week, another round of stellar grooving opportunities in and around Manchester this week. Beat loving online radio station Cowbell return for another off the wall party at Antwerp Mansion; Project 13 bring perhaps their heaviest lineup to date; New York party extraordinaires Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin, AKA, Mister Saturday Night hit up Soup Kitchen once more; and at Joshua Brooks, there’s something for everyone at erm, Something Everything. Happy partying!

Thurs Nov 6
Something Everything - Joshua Brooks, Manchester
The stellar midweek night returns to Joshua Brooks with pioneering Night Slugs head honcho Bok Bok guesting, playing bass, techno, funk, and all manner of fractured beats from both the UK and US. He’s joined by Murlo, and residents Oldboy and Metrodome.

Fri Nov 7
Cowbell Radio - Antwerp Mansion, Rusholme

Following on from a sweat soaked session with A Love From Outer Space and Daniel Avery back in August, the online radio station returns to Rusholme’s most charismatic manor for another evening of house, techno, disco and more. Headlining is British born but Berlin based DJ, producer and all round polymath Ewan Pearson, and disco and ‘chug’ experimentalist Craig Bratley will be joining him to help celebrate the launch of his new LP. Meanwhile, holding things down upstairs are Will Tramp and Chris Duckenfield, two of Yorkshire’s finest, spinning fresh rave cuts, classics and edits galore. No VIP section, maybe no doors on all the toilets, but a proper party is guaranteed.

Project 13 - Joshua Brooks, Princess Street
Taking advantage of Joshua Brooks recently installed and fully banging Void Soundsystem, Project 13 have put together a typically heavy line up of bass, d'n'b and more. Taking charge is Metalheadz associate Om Unit, who is set to explore jungle, footwork, electro, techno and whatever else takes his fancy. Joining him are Livity Sound’s Bristolian master of texture Hodge, and Manchester’s fast-rising Acre, as well as P13 resident M1921. Work on the mic is set to come courtesy of T-Man.

Sat Nov 8
Labour of Love - Soup Kitchen, Manchester

Following years as a Hoya Hoya resident, not to mention his recent collaborations with the likes of Nile Rodgers, Krystal Klear’s as-and-when party returns to Soup Kitchen with two of the world’s finest selectors, Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin, who together run New York’s acclaimed Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday parties. Ahead of the release of their new mix CD, Weekends and Beginnings, they’ll be playing an extended set rooted in disco and house, but will be going in all sorts of unexpected and refreshing directions, as they do best.
