This year's National Vintage Awards will be taking place on Wednesday July 15 in Cheltenham and local photographer Ian Brooke is up for an award as the Best Vintage Photographer of the Year.

His business, HMS Vintage, specialises in giving women a retro makeover and transporting them back to the glamour of decades gone by, with colour and black and white portraits shot to make each model look like a star.

Women wanting to reflect the style of old Hollywood or the pin-up girl look rather than new bling can also attend workshops on hair and make-up to teach them how to capture that vintage look once the photoshoots are over.

Ian's photographs have been recognised as amongst the best to capture the vintage look in the country, and you can help bring the award home to Salford, where HMS Vintage is based, by voting online here.

And if you fancy a makeover of your own, visit the HMS Vintage website.
