Time Out says

Desh means ‘homeland’ in Bengali and, in what is Akram Khan’s most personal work to date, he has collaborated with the Oscar-winning visual artist Tim Yip (‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’) to bring an astonishing new piece of dance to the stage.

It’s always a pleasure to see Khan’s choreography but a greater one to watch him dance, so this chance to see the man perform a work which weaves themes of memory, myth and experience into sublime movement, is a treat not to be missed.

Desh is performed in advance of Khan’s new exhibition at The Lowry, ‘One Side To The Other’ which opens on November 15.
