Façade Entertainment is the last in a series of performances, Music For Words, which have been produced as collaboration between the International Anthony Burgess Foundation and musical ensemble Psappha, and where music takes inspiration from words, featuring compositions both old and new with poetry, dance and illustration.
This finale is a series of abstract poems by Dame Edith Sitwell accompanied by music from local composer William Walton, who attempts to echo the premise that Sitwell was writing primarily for sound rather than meaning.
