Spanish-Bulgarian conductor and violinist Edmon Levon leads the Northern Lusofonia String Orchestra in their debut concert, which aims to promote Portuguese music, as well as raising money for charities Save the Children and British Red Cross. Pieces to be performed include Edward Elgar's 'Serenade for Strings', 'Concerto Grosso' by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Astor Piazzolla's 'Oblivion' and the UK premier of three Portuguese works.
