Mr Thomas's Chop House

Restaurants, British Central Manchester
5 out of 5 stars

This grand old Victorian building (Grade II listed and really worth a look) plays on its impressive lineage. It's all nooks and crannies, with the bar just like an old British boozer from yesteryear and the restaurant - equally historic - serving good examples of classic British cooking. Award-winning wines and cask ales draw the crowds too.

The best of the Manchester Chop House's; a proper traditional pub that still maintain many of its original features. As with all Chop House boozers, Tom's has a great selection of draft and bottled beer, as well as maintaining a cracking spirit shelf. As well as offering a great drink selection, the food is next to none in the pub standard. From good quality pub snacks, to their great Sunday roast, what ever you eat you'll feel satisfied with the good portions given.

If you're in the area and fancy a quick pint, then defiantly pop in to Tom's.

This place is one of my favourite little Manchester boozers, but the food is also a winner. We visited here for Mother's Day Sunday lunch and it was marvellous! The menu offers classic top-notch British fayre. I plumped for the Roast beef dinner, it was delish, beef was tender and flavoursome. They're famous for their corned beef hash, which I've had there before and can confirm its scrummy. Service was spot on, despite being busy, the team frequently checked in on us and mums were even given a lovely pot plant to take away, which made me look sweet given I hadn't bought her any. Highly recommended.
