Time Out says

4 out of 5 stars

Forget what you know about dining in a department store – the setting is pristine and the dishes great value

On the second floor of Harvey Nichols you'll find a stylish, modern and altogether delicious dining experience in the form of the Brasserie.

Everything is shiny. The floor is reflective black, the chairs are steel, the tables are shiny white. The glass for your cheeky little lunchtime viognier reflects the sunlight from the windows, which also bounces off the sparklingly clean cutlery.

The menu is European in flavour with the odd Asian twist. Start with tiger prawns or sashimi tuna, black pudding or soup, then a fine selection of mains includes sea bream, steak, duck, salads. Select some delicious sides and you're looking at £25-£30 for a great two-course meal.

Bento boxes, sharing platters or just a cocktail at the bar are also on offer here, in a relaxed but tasteful setting, which you can enjoy long after the store itself has closed for business.

Look out for special offers – occasionally you’ll find three courses and a cocktail for just £20.
