A new take on peri peri, Turtle Bay has pimped chicken and chips by giving it a Caribbean overhaul and it's good! We actually visited the Spear Street branch in the northern quarter, but I hear they're pretty much the same. Just had one small gripe that they charge extra for sweet potato fries on their £7 lunch menu, so is slightly false economy and rather cheeky given they're included with other main meals. Cool decor, friendly attentive staff, good food and tasty homemade ginger beer. Check it out.

If you like your food spicy and your cocktails strong, Turtle Bay is the place for you. A little piece of the Caribbean in the centre of Manchester, this is the great spot to spend an evening - whether you want to sample their impressive menu or just enjoy their happy hour 2-4-1 cocktails.
