Doing its usual fine job of finding interesting ways to tell new stories, Contact’s new commission, a site-specific piece staged at Moss Side Fire Station by the Common Wealth company, is based on interviews with female Muslim boxers.
Not exactly an obvious choice for a play, which is what makes the prospect so exciting. ‘No Guts, No Heart, No Glory’ has been devised with five 16 - 23-year-old performers, and features a live electronic score, with promises of nightclub-esque energy.
A punchy looking production, it could be a winner.
