Time Out says

Get your head a-round all things spherical and circular with this edition of Manchester Science Club.

Aimed at people who have outgrown the classroom but still want to learn, After School Science Club is an adults-only evening of science and maths talks, table-to-table live demonstrations, experiments and hands-on exhibits - and, crucially, a bar!

This October the club gets in on the Manchester Science Festival action, taking to the Museum of Science and Industry to visit the giant ball pool installation that you can play in, whilst also lapping up talks and demos themes around all things round, with physicist and BBC TV scientist Helen Czerski on the science of bubbles, cosmologist, 'Stargazing Live' guest and 'New Scientist' writer Andrew Pontzen on quantum mechanics, mathmetician (and MSC host) Katie Steckles on the mathematics of spheres and the greengrocer's problem, plus 'Blue Peter' science guy and YouTube regular Greg Foot, self-proclaimed physics nerd and FameLab award winner Nic Harrigan and much more.
