Time Out says

The mini festival returns, taking over Soup Kitchen, The Wonder Inn, Joshua Brooks, The Castle Hotel, Deli-Lama, The King’s Arms and The Eagle Inn.

As We Are Away is an annual festival for mind culture and emphatic thinking from a Manchester-based collective dedicated to the conversation on mental health, arts and society.

This December welcomes As We Are Away No. 3, which this year hones in on the topic of 'Worlds Apart'. Using the arts as a starting point for exploring mental health and linked societal issues, the lineup this year includes music from Irma Vep, Trianglecuts, Blood Sport (pictured), MOTHER and Post Freestate Satellite, film events from Cultivate Film Club and Cric? Crac! Collective, spoken word from Fat Roland, Steph Pike, Jasmine Chatfield, Jake Duff, Angus Stewart and others, visuals from Joe Whitmore, speakers Lauren Velvick and Ashley van Dyck, DJs Michael Holland, Robert Parkinson, Jimmy Slater and Robbie Rush (former Kult Country), a listening event curated by Stéphanie Vivier, plus workshops 'Home is Where the Art is' and 'Broken Grey Wires'.
