Time Out says

Without doubt the best Chinese comfort food you'll find this side of Beijing.

Known round these parts as 2014's Manchester Food and Drink Festival's Street Food Trader of the Year - and nationally as the first people to bring the jian bing (a filled Chinese savoury crepe) to the UK - the folk of Mei Mei's Street Cart create outrageously good Chinese comfort food from scratch.

On the menu you'll find: 'The Gold Standard', crispy garlic fried chicken thigh, Mei Mei's spicy mayo, Dead Pony Club pickled mooli, crispy shallots and lettuce; 'Slow Boat to HK', 10-hour braised Szechuan spiced beef brisket with Szechuan peanuts, Asian pear slaw and coriander aioli; 'Colonel Canard', roast duck, chilli hoi sin, crispy won ton cracker, spring onion and spiced plum puree. Sides include wings, fries and sweet potato fries.

Whether it's their famed 10-hour braised beef brisket, succulent chicken thigh or something else altogether, whatever you go for, you'll be thinking about it for months after. Guaranteed.
