Beyond the Game: Sports and the Evolution of South Florida opening

To kick off HistoryMiami’s newest exhibit, Beyond the Game: Sports and the Evolution of South Florida, which explores Miami’s storied relationship with professional sports, the museum is hosting a free, all-day bash for families. There will be arts and crafts, games and opportunities to high-five the University of Miami’s Sebastian the Ibis. As part of the exhibit, guests will have a chance to watch interviews with Miami sports stars and browse memorabilia and original artifacts belonging to local teams, like the Miami Heat’s original floor. The event is free but visitors are encouraged to register.
