Tame Impala

When it comes to contemporary rock ‘n’ roll music, there’s perhaps no artist more consistently beloved by critics than Tame Impala. But as rap and hip-hop have continued to dominate mainstream music, Kevin Parker’s particular brand of contemplative, rhythmic indie psych-rock has also steadily gained mass appeal. How can we tell for sure? The longhaired Aussie who writes and performs all of Tame Impala’s music (he’s essentially a solo artist in the studio and performs live with a full band) has embarked on a massive North American arena tour in support of his forthcoming album, The Slow Rush, and it’s landing in all its trippy, laser-lit glory for a stop in Miami at AmericanAirlines Arena this summer.
