American Swedish Institute says
"Cow Calls in Dalarna" is a delightful theater work melding cow calls, cow horns, cowbells, fiddle tunes and folk songs to evoke the lost world of Sweden’s summer pasture camps. Pairing original poems by Bart Sutter, the award-winning Duluth playwright and poet, with traditional Swedish music, "Cow Calls" shares the stories, peculiar customs, folk wisdom, odd mix of superstition with religion, and—above all—the musicality of the Dalarna village women as they herded cows in the forested hills.

Vikarbyns Lilla Spelmanslag, a young fiddle group from Sweden’s Lake Siljan region, begin this unique and not-to-be-missed experience.
