Fronted by Minneapolis singer-songwriter Elizabeth Ghandour, who began her musical career in theatre and pursuing opera, Elizabeth stumbled into New York’s folk music scene, her musical ambitions crystalized, and she moved back to the Twin Cities to pursue singing and writing. Joining her are local banjo player Johnny Kovarik, steel player Josh Braun, bassist Matt Palin and percussionist Jeremy Hauer. Blending the sounds of steel guitar, banjo, acoustic bass and percussion to support beautiful harmonized vocals, The Heighburners strive to modernize American folk music while remaining true to its gritty roots.

Brianna Kocka is a singer-songwriter from Minneapolis, MN. She has been part of various musical acts throughout the Twin Cities—most notably Sun Gods to Gamma Rays and CAETANI.
After five years away from the acoustic guitar, and while living on an island off the east coast for ten months, she tapped into her roots and wrote her first Americana album as a form of therapy to deal with the isolation of island living.
Brianna is in the studio recording, with hopes to release these songs in the summer of 2017.
