Free Arts Minnesota says
SAVE the date and join us on August 25th at 5:30 PM for the opening reception of "Markings: High Art, Low Tech."

Free Arts Minnesota is excited to introduce this year's 8 week Summer Teaching Artist program, “Markings: High Art, Low Tech” an exploration of art techniques using everyday materials in a sustainable art practice. Working with 4 of our partner sites (Casa de Esperanza, Omegon, People Incorporated, Perspectives, Inc - Breaking Cycles Creating Hope), Rogue Citizen and the Minneapolis Institute of Art, our youth will learn methods of hand lettering, stencil based painting, and collaborative murals. To culminate this 8 week experience, the youth will exhibit their final pieces at Mia!

Check back for more event details and process photos as we follow the youth, artists, and volunteers each week!

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
