Please join us for the opening reception of "Voids ǀ Reflections" on Thursday, June 9 from 6 – 8 pm featuring work by Holly Streekstra and Lyz Wendland. The work is on view in the main gallery from June 9 – July 31, 2016. The gallery is open daily from 9 am - 8 pm.

Both artists consider space through repetition of form. Holly Streekstra’s site-specific installation suggests plants, atmospheres, and other things observed aloft. She uses the symbolic representation of the musical rest as a metaphor for a space between to encourage meditation. Lyz Wendland’s installation is inspired by road maps, suburban housing developments, and shadows from housetops. Made from cut paper, she utilizes screen-printing, colored pencil, and blueprints. In Voids ǀ Reflections, the viewer is asked to consider what is reflected back in the void.

Also on view in the annex gallery is "The Trespasser's Garden" by Emily Gray Koelher.
