Veterans Of Orphei Drängar In Concert says
The all-male voice choir Veterans of Orphei Drängar (VOD) from Stockholm, Sweden perform at ASI as a part of their 2015 North American tour. The group’s repertoire includes of Nordic composers Edvard Grieg, Hugo Alfvén, and Jean Sibelius, and with international standards including Bridge Over Troubled Water, Fever, Deep River, and more.

This concert features songs in both Swedish and English.

VOD consists of 35 singers who have all previously been trained in the 162 year-old singing fraternity Orphei Drängar of Uppsala, Sweden. VOD’s conductor is Håkan Sund, conductor, pianist, composer, arranger and former teacher at the Royal Music Academy in Stockholm. This concert is part of ASI’s fall 2015 theme, “The Way Music Moves Me.”
