Alliance Française presents a web debate focused on the French and American perspectives on justice systems, featuring former French Minister of Justice Christiane Taubira’s reflections about equality and equity.

Christiane Taubira is a French politician from French Guiana. Member of the National Assembly of France for French Guiana from 1993 to 2012 when she was appointed Minister of Justice of France under President François Hollande’s new government. She resigned in January 2016.

Free and open to the public.

This event is presented as part of the Marianne Midwest Speaker Series which provides a forum for distinguished speakers from France to engage live audiences in Chicago, and remote audiences across the Midwest via participatory webcasts.
