A straight-to-small-screen release, this US indie is an ensemble black comedy (allegedly) predicated on the maxim: have gun, will shoot. It begins interestingly with Daniels plugging an intruder in the middle of the night, but not fooling his wife Allen for a minute. Why is he wearing his watch, she asks. And doesn't that corpse on the carpet bear a striking resemblance to your business partner? Unfortunately, the screenplay is more interested in types than characters, the handgun motif quickly wears thin, and director Stern misses whatever comic potential presumably attracted this impressive cast.
