There's absolutely nothing scary about this child-panic chiller, in which an altruistic social worker (Zellweger) rescues a young girl (Ferland) from homicidal parents and takes personal custody of her, only to discover that---oops!---she's actually unholy. But in terms of unintentional humor? From a bevy of cheesy jolt scares (alarm clock! barking dog!) to the embarrassing sight of Zellweger and Ian McShane treating this Orphan-style B-movie silliness with grave seriousness, the film proves to be one hokey-horror riot.
