Time Out says

A team of Native American lacrosse players are humiliated by rich white rivals, until former all-star athlete and current businessman Joe Logan (Routh) takes time out from his courting of casino developers to coach the ragtag bunch. Though the fallout is utterly predictable, director Steve Rash at least brings an engaging fluidity to the high-energy sports scenes. The film’s understanding of the game as part of an indigenous cultural heritage adds a superficial wrinkle to the formula, but that doesn’t keep Crooked Arrows from being just a by-the-numbers triumph-of-the-underdog flick.
