Dreaming of Rita

Having recently buried his wife, Oscarsson goes in search of an old flame who reminds him of his beloved Rita Hayworth; trouble is, he's far from young and healthy himself, so his daughter sets off in pursuit, leaving her workaholic husband behind, and meeting a more appreciative hitcher en route. Cue for a romantic farce-cum-road movie endowed with engaging twists, but not exactly startling or original - indeed, the end is a disappointing cop-out. The landscape is a bonus, as is the charismatically beautiful Lagercrantz.
