Bequeathed an 80-acre plantation in the Deep South, Fletch (Chase) jets off to his new-found ancestral home. Surprise, surprise, the mansion turns out to be a ruin, but Fletch decidesd to hang around just long enough to get his end away with a 'lovely local lawyer' (Kalember), who promptly drops dead. Chase makes fnar fnar jokes about her death being a result of his sexual prowess, but a more likely explanation would be that Ms Kalember had read the script and decided it was a good time to get out. The ensuing plot, in which Chase gets tangled up in murder, mystery, intrigue, and derring-do, isn't worth describing since it serves only as a vehicle for Fletch to don various disguises and deliver his own 'inimitable' comic patter. The humour throughout is alternately mindless, sexist, racist, and homophobic, and would probably offend if you managed to stay awake.
