Time Out says

3 out of 5 stars

Rather than another expos of Wall Street fat cats, this no-nonsense doc focuses on the working-class wolves who stalk Chicago’s trading floors. Director James Allen Smith delves deep into the lives of men——stogie chompers who are more OTB gambler than Gordon Gekko—wagering their own fortunes on mercurial market fluctuations. The film isn’t pretty—even the talking-head footage looks a bit hurried—but neither is the milieu or the era it documents. Threatened by an industry shifts and a tanked economy, Smith’s subjects now struggle just to pay the bills. Forget floored: Like laborers everywhere, these are people from whom the very ground keeps falling away.—Eric Hynes
