An emotionally troubled aspiring actress (Frederick) drifts into the orbit of a pair of agent-producers and falls in love with a mysterious young actor in the latest film from veteran indie director Henry Jaglom. Frederick’s committed performance helps hold together a story that often feels like little more than a loosely connected series of crying fits. Jaglom fans will want to see this, but those who don’t share the director’s seemingly limitless appetite for actorly self-indulgence may find it rough going.
