Written and directed by Anderson, this is far removed from the monochrome epics of her earlier shows, relying on colour imagery, dance, and fair helpings of Anderson's spooky humour. All the hits and album faves are here, although the adoption of the rock format contradicts the initial, idiosyncratic charm of her work. Fans should flock, while others are guaranteed 91 minutes of the strangest pop entertainment ever. If there is a flaw, it's in Anderson's work itself, which pretends to comment on weapon culture and information technology, when in fact all that Anderson is doing is playing around with signs.
