Time Out says

A wide-ranging inquiry into mortality and the nature of happiness, How to Live Forever follows documentarian Mark Wexler (Tell Them Who You Are) as he travels the world speaking with members of the antiaging movement, food critics and, above all, the (very) elderly. Wexler attempts to answer the eponymous conundrum---and find out if such a result is even desirable---but while his film is engaging enough when covering curiosities like a funeral directors' convention, the fact that it lacks an authorial voice of its own is a dealbreaker. Scenes of nonagenarians dispensing trite nuggets of wisdom are no substitute for an insightful exploration of life, death and everything in between.
