Jimmy Scott: If You Only Knew

Time Out says
Useful profile of the jazz falsetto vocalist, from his hustler roots as one of ten children born to a single parent Ohio seamstress, through mercurial promise, blighted luck with label bosses and love, prolonged obscurity and belated rediscovery (by Lou Reed, among others). Present day interviews with Scott and his siblings are the centrepiece. Predictably, there's a dearth of material from his life's low points, and various threads might have been fruitfully elaborated, but the film certainly whets your interest.
