Too competent as a Fargo-esque indie murder comedy to dismiss (yet too dull to fully embrace), the Canadian Just Buried yields serviceable results from material that’s got rigor mortis. Weaselly Oliver (Tropic Thunder’s Baruchel) inherits his dad’s mortuary; the biz comes with a promiscuous full-timer (Byrne) who convinces her new boss to find fresh clients in unlikely places. Fighting through writerly tics, the two leads supply off-kilter charm to their striving characters, though the concept requires more Eating Raoul social savagery to truly fly.
