Taking place during the aftermath of the American invasion of Kabul, this nifty if heavy-handed DV drama from first-time Afghan director Barmak Akram follows a taxi driver saddled with a baby boy when a passenger leaves him in the back of his cab. The film works best when it observes how this new family member affects household and work rituals, but the contrived script, with characters spouting their political opinions, is not so subtle.
