Single parenting is, like, such a bummer! That’s the main message of this obnoxious girls-gone-mild comedy, in which a former hellion named Kim (Krysten Ritter) struggles to grow up after an unexpected pregnancy leaves her with a baby son. Torn between her new maternal responsibility and those still-present one-night-stand urges, Kim further complicates things when she tells a hunky dude that the infant actually belongs to her dating-columnist roommate (Kate Bosworth)—a deception that, naturally, leads to various romantic, friendship and identity crises. Don’t worry, folks, everything will be resolved via a you-can-have-it-all fantasy ending that’s almost as groanworthy as the film’s set piece involving a sexual tryst interrupted by breast milk. Something happens here, but it isn’t life.
