Time Out says

There’s a smile on her face when artist Julie (Ludivine Sagnier) is upgraded to business class on a flight from New York to Paris, but it turns to a look of dread when her playboy ex, Antoine (Nicolas Bedos), takes the seat beside her. On a packed flight they’re stuck with each other, so it’s time to revisit the highs and lows of their turbulent relationship – and maybe, just maybe, rediscover a bit of the old magic.

Rewritten from an American script doing the rounds in Hollywood, this offers a very Gallic twist on a familiar romcom scenario of bickering couple reunited. His compulsive womanising and her uptight jealousy mean both partners are volatile as their backstory careens through romantic trysts on the Eiffel Tower to unforgivable misdeeds. There’s a soupçon of real emotion, but director Alexandre Castagnetti knows exactly what the audience wants with this kind of movie: attractive stars, Parisian eye candy, sarky one-liners and breezy montages cut to retro soul and jazz numbers every time the pace flags. So, not exactly arthouse, but as subtitled fluff goes, we’re talking première classe.
