Putting voices if not faces to Iraq’s so-called insurgency, this shot-on-video doc surreptitiously interviews residents of Baghdad’s Adhamiya neighborhood who joined the nascent resistance shortly after the American invasion began. The individuals, who are filmed out of focus and identified by silly spy-flick code names, tellingly span all social classes and have their own muddled agendas. But their collective anger shines through, and the film dares to reveal what should be obvious: that occupation only breeds resentment, and the toll is paid in human lives.
