Time Out says

2 out of 5 stars

As their father lies dying of cancer, three brothers steal a delivery van and head for the seaside on a chimeric quest to replace their dad’s wristwatch. Paul Fraser’s first feature is all damp browns and mossy greens, and vividly captures the interplay among the school-age siblings (mixing, as on any car trip, sentimental exchanges and flatulence jokes in equal measure). Unfortunately, first-time screenwriter Will Collins’s script backs one overused trope up against the next, dooming the enterprise before it begins. There’s not much to dislike in My Brothers’ sweet inconsequence, but even less to quicken the pulse or stir the heart.
