Luke Meyer and Andrew Neel, the directors behind the 2006 LARPer documentary Darkon, return to the fringe with a look at a group of tinfoil-hat-wearing kooks. At the center of this conspiracy-theorist portrait is Adam Jones, a militantly antigovernment loudmouth with his own radio show and a bone to pick. Thanks to his wild-eyed ranting at the usual Illuminati-esque targets of paranoia, Jones and his followers are an easy subject for ridicule, but Meyer and Neel opt for a more nuanced—even sympathetic—treatment of the group’s ultralibertarian obsession.
