Night on the Terrace

Stagnating couple in third-party crisis: a tired tale receives no new spin except for some early rooftop voyeurism. This is in itself suspect, given that Paula goes for the poetic calls and tapes of her mysterious admirer and throws her life into freefall. Feeling like a graduation film and lacking any real authority (the fact that it's shot on tape, while it shouldn't interfere, does underline this absence), it's well meaning and all involved are energetic enough, but it's underwritten and doesn't move beyond the initial premise.
