Pathfinder
Time Out says
The least one can say for Pathfinder is that it takes on a seldom-depicted era. An orphaned Viking child raised by Native Americans several hundred years before the arrival of Columbus grows up to help defend his adopted people against continuing Norse invasions. Shot in British Columbia, the movie sports a monochromatic look that effectively suspends its action midway between historical reality and myth. But Pathfinder’s main appeal will be to connoisseurs of gore, who will find no shortage of graphically rendered stabbings, shootings, smashings, severings and slicings.
