A brilliant opening sequence, otherwise this flat-footed British thriller is hampered by something like the world's worst script, including flashbacks no one would ever conceivably flash back to, and by a cumbersome storyline about big league stamp trading. A couple of incipient themes are visible: one lingers in the juxtaposition of traveloguish footage (shot round Windsor Castle) with the Blow-Up style investigation into the jet set life of a girl found dead in a studio; the other is the air of evil alter ego that hangs about the dead girl's twin sister, and is dismissed in one badly written scene.
