Time Out says

1 out of 5 stars
If a comedian like Peter Kaye happened to catch this fawning, incoherent profile of fashion photographer Peter Beard, he’d be rubbing his hands with glee. The perpetually (and hilariously) self-aggrandising Beard would make a perfect comic creation, describing his ethically questionable work – which consists of photographing scantily-clad female models ‘tastefully’ juxtaposed with members of African tribes – in the most histrionic and pretentious terms imaginable, thowing in literary references, mind-bending abstract descriptions and slipping into French. There’s a piece of footage near the end where he gets trampled on by an elephant. It may have you weeping, but not in sadness.
