Time Out says

2 out of 5 stars
Because of a promise he made to his late grandmother, a playboyish car dealer (Campbell) with an elaborate bag of dating tricks seeks a girlfriend for his 84-year-old grandfather (Griffith). But fate has a sense of humor, and Grandpa starts hitting on the grandmother (Roberts) of the one girl the younger man can’t snag (Sokoloff). Viagra jokes? Check! Sometimes you have to wonder why the actors didn’t speak up. Surely Griffith, who was 16 months old when The Jazz Singer premiered, knows no one would refer to a Rita Hayworth movie as a “talkie.”
