Engaging in endless sessions of numbing sex, Erica (Fuller) is destined for self-destruction. Salvation, or something like it, comes in the form of a creepazoid coworker (Taylor) who admits to harboring serial-killer tendencies. Then a past lover (Senter) reappears, and what was a sickening, intriguing character study starts tilting toward that first titular color over everything else. This Amerindie's horror elements are actually its least interesting aspects; you wish that British director Simon Rumley had stuck with that first half's beguiling look at a new, weird Americana and left the exploitation trappings to lesser filmmakers.
