An identikit psycho thriller sadly in need of a bit of sex, gore or something to liven up a plot that employs every predictable twist, cliché and red herring in the book. Stone is a woman haunted by a repressed childhood trauma involving - you guessed it - scissors. Cox is her sympathetic but sexually frustrated shrink, and Railsback her smitten neighbour. Railsback's embittered, wheelchair-bound brother and his spurned ex-lover (Phillips) are the obvious bad guys, which means that it's someone else trying to drive her mad. Pretty daft, but perversely enjoyable in a ludicrously overheated kind of way.
