Sexual Dependency

In ambitious interlinked stories set in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and on a U.S. college campus, promising debut filmmaker Rodrigo Bellott follows several young people discovering their sexuality in what's often a depressingly macho, violent world. A sweet teen girl (Aponte) is practically talked into early sexual activity by her bullying, repressive father; an innocent lad from Colombia (Urbina) is forced to visit a prostitute by his swaggering new friends; a gay American jock (Guida) tries to hide his homosexuality from his violent varsity teammates.
